Who we are, and who controls your data

The data controller is Picchi & Scott Ltd, trading as Croccante & Co, of 2 Lynedoch Place, Edinburgh EH3 7PX. Registered in Scotland, company number SC830711. VAT registration number: 504 1580 26.

Our shop is at 2 Lynedoch Place, Edinburgh EH3 7PX. For anything about your data, email info@croccanteandco.co.uk, which is a monitored inbox.

The enquiry form

If you send us an enquiry we receive your name, your email address, the topic you picked and your message. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us and expect a reply.

We keep enquiry emails for 24 months from your last message to us, then delete them.

Who processes data for us

We use a small number of companies to run this site. Each acts on our instructions only.

• Formspree Inc., United States. Delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox and stores a copy on Formspree's servers. We manage deletion of stored submissions from the Formspree dashboard.
• Google, Google Analytics 4, United States. Tells us which pages people read. It only runs if you accept analytics cookies, and nothing is sent to Google before you do.
• Bunny Fonts, delivered by BunnyWay d.o.o. Serves the two typefaces this site uses. It sets no cookies and keeps no logs of visitors, which is exactly why we use it instead of Google Fonts.

Sending data outside the UK

Formspree and Google are both based in the United States, so an enquiry you send us, and any analytics data you agree to, is transferred there.

Those transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the company is certified under it, and otherwise on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Cookies

No analytics or advertising cookies are set unless you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, none are set and nothing is tracked. Your choice is remembered in your own browser so we do not have to ask again, and you can change it at any time from the banner.

Links out

Buttons and links that open Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, TripAdvisor or the Food Standards Agency take you to those companies' own sites, where their privacy policies apply rather than ours.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to it. Email info@croccanteandco.co.uk and we will deal with it within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
